Depart from Addis Ababa (approximately 100km to the north) and head to the Debre Libanos Monastery. In the vicinity of the monastery is the Portuguese Bridge, which was the first bridge built in Ethiopia. Visitors may also have the opportunity to observe the endemic Gelada baboons. Short hikes offering breathtaking views of the Jemma Valley are available in the area. Return to Addis Ababa in the late afternoon.
